Cocktail bar for a real-estate customer conference

In short

Nobody wants to taste the drinks for the first time during their own customer conference. So the tasting came first — on the day, 40 drinks were just a repeat.

Step 1 · Before the event

It started with a tasting session

Before a real-estate customer conference near Dien Bien Phu street in Ho Chi Minh City on 26 July 2026, Bartender.com.vn ran a private tasting so the client could approve the full menu.

The bartender mixed each recipe in front of the client, named it and presented it exactly as it would be served. The client tasted, commented, and we adjusted on the spot — sweetness, acidity, aromatic intensity and garnish.

The result: a menu approved by palate, not by description.

Every drink with its own name and story

The proposed menu was named and presented as a collection, so the client could picture the experience their guests would receive.

The citrus-led range balanced sweet against sour, finished with fresh aromatic leaves and dried fruit slices. The red-and-pink range drew on ripe fruit and photographed beautifully under warm lighting. Every option had an alcohol-free counterpart with equivalent presentation, so guests who were driving or not drinking never felt served a lesser option.

After the tasting, the client locked the final list. That is exactly the menu that was served on the day — unchanged.

What the client needed

A real-estate customer conference has its own demands: the guests are investors and prospective buyers, the space doubles as a showcase, and every detail on the table feeds into how the brand is perceived.

That shaped three requirements for the drinks. They had to photograph well, because guests would be shooting and sharing. The bar had to serve continuously without noise or taking up floor space in an already full room. And the host needed certainty about quality before the day — which the tasting had already settled.

Setting up the bar on the day

The bar was set up compactly inside the reception space, giving the bartender room to work without cutting across guest circulation. Ingredients, ice and glassware were prepped by drink family to keep each round short.

Throughout the programme the bartender mixed in full view of guests. Shaking, straining and garnishing happened in the open — which kept every glass freshly made and gave waiting guests something to watch.

Served on the spot, finished glass by glass

Exactly as approved at the tasting, every glass was finished with edible flowers and herbs cut on the spot. That small detail turned the drinks into part of the photo backdrop rather than merely something to sip.

The team worked in smart uniform, kept the station clean for the duration, and cleared the space fully once the programme ended.

Other parts of the programme (afternoon tea, pastries, floral styling, gifting) were handled by other vendors. The mixed-drinks programme was delivered by Bartender.com.vn.

Outcome

The programme ran to plan: the team served around 40 drinks on the spot through the session, exactly to the menu approved at the tasting, with no last-minute changes.

For the organiser, the real value was not the number of drinks poured but the certainty: having tasted and approved everything in advance, the host never had to gamble on beverage quality during a day that mattered.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a tasting session before a customer conference?

We strongly recommend it. A tasting lets you approve flavour, colour and garnish by taste rather than description. For an occasion as important as a customer conference it is the single most valuable way to remove risk, and it doubles as a chance to tune the menu to your guest profile.

How does the tasting session work?

The bartender mixes each drink on the proposed menu in front of you, presented exactly as it will be served, and suggests alternatives wherever something does not suit. You comment on the spot, we adjust, and we lock the final version. The menu approved at that session is exactly what gets served on the day.

Does the cocktail bar take up much space?

No. The bar is designed around your actual floor plan and can be set up compactly in a corner of the room. We check the position in advance so it never cuts across guest circulation or blocks sightlines to the stage or display area.

Do you cater for guests who do not drink alcohol?

Yes. Every menu includes alcohol-free versions with equivalent presentation and garnish, for guests who are driving or simply not drinking. This is a default requirement on every corporate event we deliver.

How far in advance should I book for a customer conference?

Get in touch early so there is time for a tasting session and menu adjustments before the date. Send your event details through the quote request page and our team will advise and schedule the tasting.
