How to estimate guest drink consumption for an event

A formula for cocktails per guest based on event length.

The basic formula

Cocktail hour: 1.5 cocktails per guest per hour. After dinner: 1 cocktail per guest per hour.

Younger guests under 35: +20%. Middle-aged guests: standard. Guests over 60: -20%, add mocktails.
